| Description: | This position will design, develop, and drive implementation of a formal sales training program. An ideal candidate is someone with direct B2B sales and sales training experience in the software/technology industry. The position will require significant multi-tasking and willingness to take on various responsibilities as assigned. BigMachines is a fast growing online software provider with a robust product and growing customer base, managed by an outstanding team of graduates of MIT, Harvard, etc. There will be ample and exciting opportunities to grow with the company. |
| Duties: | • Create training materials and design effective curriculum to speed the productivity of new sales hires
• Work cross-functionally with BigMachines subject matter experts to schedule and execute training sessions
• Investigate and utilize new technology to deliver training in more efficient ways- remotely via web delivery/webex, ongoing computer-based self-training modules (CBT), etc.
• Incorporate training into quarterly and annual corporate events- sales meetings, company-wide meetings, etc
• Work with customer Training resource to leverage training materials across departments- including incorporation into programs for all new hires, customer training classes, etc.

| Qualifications: | • High initiative, strong work ethic, technical inclination
• Ability to understand business strategy and key purchasing drivers to create effective training materials
• Strong presentation and powerpoint skills
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills
• Quick learner and able to self-train and pick up new skills as necessary
• Willingness to wear many hats
• Experience in supporting a direct sales team
• Ability to translate technical information into understandable material for a variety of audiences- sales teams, customers, professional services, product management and development
Desired Experience:
• 4 year BS/BA degree from a major college or university
• 2 years direct B2B sales experience in a related field- software or high tech, technology services, medical or industrial technology
• 2-6 years experience in corporate training and curriculum development
• Strong project management skills and organization ability
